Parking & Directions
There is parking at the Mary Peters Track - if the bottom car park is full please use the top car park at the gates.
Please do not park outside marked spaces or on double yellow lines, as this may impede track staff or the race route itself. Disabled parking is for badge-holders only.
To reach the Mary Peters Track from the City Centre, drive up the Malone Road, taking a right turn at the roundabout by the House of Sport (for Finaghy/Dunmurry). The track is signposted from here; you are looking for Old Coach Lane, on the left about a mile from the roundabout. The gates to the track are on the corner.
From the Outer Ring, go past Forestside to the end of the road and take a right on to the Milltown Rd (nr Shaw's Bridge), then continue to the House of Sport and take a left (then as above). Directions are available on www.athleticsni.org - click on the Mary Peters Track section of the homepage.
Collecting Your Number etc & Changing Facilities
Number collection will be in the Les Jones Room, upstairs in the Pavilion beside the track. Please use the outside stairs and the side door.
There will be two queues on the night - one for pre-entries to collect their number, chip and t-shirt, and another one for those entering on the night. They will be signposted, please ensure you look for the "Pre-Entry" line to avoid having to queue twice.
Chipped Timing Sponsored by ChampionChip Ireland.
There are changing and showering facilities and toilets in the new stand at the Mary Peters Track; however they are limited so if possible please arrive changed.
The Race (Click here for map)
The race starts at 7.30pm sharp on the track itself, then leads on to the Malone Road, Lagan Towpath at Drumbridge, Shaw's Bridge, Barnett's Park and QUB playing fields before returning to finish on the track.
If officials feel that a safe start number has been surpassed, it may be necessary to start the event in 2 waves. In this instance start mats as well as finish mats will record everyone’s chip time, then results will be compiled as a whole regardless of which group you started in.
If you find yourself approaching the towpath in a crowd, please apply caution and common sense to avoid accidents. The route is marshaled, however runners' vigilance and cooperation is appreciated.
First aid will be provided by Ambutran. This race is fully licensed by Athletics NI and has approval from the PSNI and DCAL.
(Please note that all entries are non-refundable, transferable & exchangeable)
