U9/U10/U11

INDIVIDUAL ENTRY FEE: €6 or £5 per athlete      

RELAY Entry fee: €10 per team

4x100m Relays U9/U10/U11 will be held, athletes may step up one age group only and may compete in two relays, U 9 team must all be born in 2009. At least two members of the relay team must be the correct age group. 3 teams from the region qualify for AAI Nationals Children’s Games

Qualification For AAI Children’s Games, June 24th 2017 Tullamore    

The AAI competition is a club team consisting of 2 athletes per team in each event

The combined distances or combined times of the top two athletes from a club will be added to determine qualifiers.

U12/U13

All qualifiers for the AAI Championships must submit their entries, DOB and Reg No with entry fees (€5 per event) to Evelyn O’Reilly.

            

U9/U10/U11 CONDITIONS OF ENTRY                                               

Athletes may compete in TWO events only.

  • Athletes compete in their own age group only.
  • Under 9 athletes must be born in 2009.
  • Medals for 1st, 2nd, 3rd in each event.
  • U9, 10 Long Jump competition, athletes may jump anywhere from the sand.
  • U 11 Long Jump competition is from the board.
  • 3 Jumps only per athlete.
  • Turbo Javelin throw as per javelin throw (tip must hit ground)
  • 3 throws per athlete, longest throw measured.
  • Throw measured to where tip touches ground.
  • 60m, 300m, 500m, 600m are on times no finals.
  • Standing or crouch start is optional.  The standing start command for all sprints are "on your marks" and "set"
  • Persistent false starts may lead to disqualification.
  • No entry or change of entry on the day of competition
  • Club singlets must be worn.

To aid with the smooth running of the competition each club must nominate at least one official.

 

U12/U13 CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Athletes may compete in Three events only.

  • Individual Track & Field Championships for Boys and Girls ages 12-13.
  • The first four (4) from each region qualify for the National Championships.
  • The first three (3) in the 600m due to safety regulations.
  • The Relays are Ulster/NI events only, Teams DO NOT qualify for All Irelands
  • Athletes are confined to their own age group.
  • Ages 12, 13, are limited to 3 events plus relay.
  • Club Singlets must be worn.
  • ONLY 5mm SPIKES MAY BE USED
  • U12 all must do a crouched start. The commands for all sprints are "on your marks" and "set"
  • Athletes from U13 upwards must use Starting Blocks
  • 3 Jumps and 3 throws per athlete.

To aid with the smooth running of the competition each club must nominate at least one official.
