Anna McCauley (City of Lisburn / Maureen McCauley) recorded a full quota five lifetime bests to add over 300 points to her best total recorded last month when winning the Irish Schools Multi Events.

The score of 3874 was enough to secure second place on the day (behind England’s Jade O’Dowda) and to move Anna from 16th to 5th on the British all time U17 pentathlon rankings with only the likes of Katerina Johnson-Thompson, Morgan Lake and Kate O’Connor ahead of her. 60m Hurdles 8.71 Shot 10.34m Long Jump 5.44m High Jump 1.69m 800m 2.19.82

Under 16 Boys

Troy McConville (North Down AC / Brendan McConville) added over 200 points to his PB set in last month’s Irish Schools largely thanks to an astounding 45cm PB in the Long Jump.  The son of 2006 Commonwealth Games Decathlete Brendan McConville, recorded results of 60m Hurdles 8.96 Shot 10.20m Long Jump 6.19m 200m 24.51 800m 2.11.19 for 5th place and a total of 3112.

Ethan Williamson (Lagan Valley AC / Bryan McCorkill) was hard pushed to try and beat his PB from the Irish Schools last month where he set 5 out of 5 PBs but he did just that. The Rising Stars athlete who recently transitioned into the Youth Academy set PBs in the 60m Hurdles and 800m and his consistency across the other events was enough to give him an overall PB of 2791 for 10th place out of the 16 athletes.
