Ulster University Sprints and Jumps Taster Session

Ulster University is partnering with Athletics NI to offer performance training opportunities for Sprints and Horizontal Jumps and we are giving prospective students (and their coaches if available) the opportunity to join in with current student performance session during the half term week.

Our hope is that the Jordanstown Campus can move towards becoming a Centre of Excellence in these events attracting the best student sprinters and horizontal jumpers from Ireland and UK.

Adam McMullen is the coach of these performance sessions and the “taster session” details are below:

Ulster University Performance Sprints/Jumps Taster Session

Date: Wednesday 30th October

Time: 2-3.30pm

Venue: Indoor Track (Ulster University's Jordanstown Campus)

Athletics Performance Scholarship Scheme (Tiered scheme provides funding to support the course fees of high performing students who will represent Ulster University in Intervarsity Athletics Competitions - assessed on an annual basis) Allows the successful student to benefit from flexible study options as well as specialist performance services which include:

-Mentoring

-Movement screening

-Strength & Conditioning Coaching

-Performance Sprints/Jumps Sessions

-Nutritional Advice

-Sports Psychology

-One Year’s Free Track & Gym Membership

-Physiotherapy Sessions

-Contribution towards Warm Weather Training Camp
