The Experiment 26.2 Ambassador group are back and taking to the roads for the 2017 Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon on the 1st May. As we head into February, I am sure some of you are still getting over the effects of the boxes of sweets and glasses of wine from the Christmas festivities. So, perhaps you still need a not so New Year’s Resolution to get you back on track?
Six individuals (Charlotte, Stuart, Trevor, Matthew, Chris and Gerard) have done just that, setting their New Year’s Resolution in December when they agreed to sign up to the “Experiment 26.2” challenge organised by Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon. The group comprises of employees and supporters from Belfast Live, Translink, ASICS and White’s Oats.
Many of the members will be tackling their first marathon at the 36th anniversary of the Belfast City Marathon on Bank Holiday Monday 1st May.
With a mix of ages, genders and abilities the team will receive specific training plans from MY ASICS along with monthly presentations from key speakers to enable them to reach that all important starting line prepared in May.
Every month the team will blog about their journey on Deep RiverRock’s Belfast City Marathon’s Facebook page and partnered site Belfast Live – So if they can do it, then so can you #Let’sDoItTogether
To celebrate the launch of the group, the organisers are delighted to give 10% OFF all entries received before 13th February.
So what are you waiting for – get together, start training and join over 16,000 others at the starting line of the 36th Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon which takes place on Bank Holiday Monday 1st May 2017.
In addition, the organisers have also teamed up with ASICS to provide one lucky person who registers during this period a chance to win a piece of ASICS training kit.
