Belfast and Antrim

This summer there will be two Rising Stars Summer Camps, one based at Antrim and one in Belfast. The camps will each be two days long and will allow athletes who have been training at Rising Stars this year to join members from other regions and hone their athletics skills across a range of events.
Antrim Details
(Ideal for Jordanstown, Antrim & Coleraine Athletes - but open to those from any region)
Ages: 11-15
Dates: Tuesday 16th July - Wednesday 17th July 2019 (Option of attending both days or 1 day)
Time: 10am - 2pm
Venue: Antrim Forum Athletics Track (Address: Lough Road, Antrim, BT41 4DQ)
Belfast Details
(Ideal for Belfast & Bangor Squads - but open to those from any region)
Ages: 11-15
Dates: Wednesday 31st July - Thursday 1st August 2019 (Option of attending both days or 1 day)
Time: 11am - 3pm
Venue: Mary Peters Track (Address: Old Coach Road, Belfast, BT9 5PR)
These camps will be led by Athletics NI's professional coaches and will focus on developing the fundamental skills of running, jumping and throwing in line with the British Athletics Athlete Development Model. Session options will be available so that athletes can spend more time at their preferred events.
Day 1 Focus: Acceleration, Blocks, Hurdles, High Jump, Javelin, Relay Changeovers
Day 2 Focus: Max Velocity Running, Middle Distance or Long Hurdles, Long Jump, Shot Put, Relay Changeovers
