Schools Athletics Event with Belfast City Council

Athletics NI are hosting an exciting new event in conjunction with Belfast City Council to help encourage school aged children to get involved in athletics, particularly coming into the summer months. We are holding the Belfast City Council Schools Athletics Event on Friday 18th at the world class, Mary Peters Track in Belfast.

Young athletes will be given the opportunity to try and excel in Running, Jumping, Hurdling & Throwing events (as well as a Team Relay) at Belfast's world class Mary Peters Track. 

The event will take place on Friday 18th June on what we hope will be a fantastic introduction to the sport of Athletics for many!

Times:

  • 10am- 12 noon P7
  • 1pm- 3pm Year 8

Entries are open to school teams of 4 (2 girls and 2 boys) or to individual athletes. Entry is free and each child will receive a certificate at the end of their session.
