Flahavan's Oat Energy Balls

Each Recipe Makes approx: 20
Cashew and Date Energy Balls - Ingredients:
  • 150g Flahavan’s Porridge Oats
  • 100g Flahavan’s Oatbran
  • 120g cashew nuts
  • 200g dates
  • Juice and zest of 1 large orange
  • 20g cacao/ cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp milled chia seeds/ cocoa powder (for coating)
Lime Oat Energy Balls - Ingredients:
  • · 100g Flahavan’s Porridge Oats
  • · 50g Flahavan's Oatbran
  • · 200g dates
  • · 50g ground almonds
  • · 100g cashew nuts
  • · Juice and zest of 2 limes
  • · 2 tbsp desiccated coconut/ matcha green tea (for coating)
Method (for both energy balls):
  1. Blitz the oats and cashews in the food processor
  2. Add the remaining ingredients to the food processor and blitz until you have a sticky paste
  3. Use your hands to shape the mixture into bite-size balls
  4. Spread the coating ingredient of choice on a plate, roll each ball in it
  5. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week
Note: Flahavan’s Oatbran is higher in fibre and protein than the Porridge Oats so improves the health benefits of the energy balls!
