Athletics Northern Ireland Seek an Everybody Active Coach for Antrim and Newtownabbey

Athletics Northern Ireland will recruit an Every Body Active Coach to develop, deliver and coordinate programmes and initiatives that aim to achieve the objectives of Every Body Active in Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough Council.

 The role will increase the number of quality opportunities for targeted groups to develop and sustain participation in sport across key life-course transitions with a specific focus on women and girls, people with a disability, and those living in areas of high social need on the basis of their continued under-representation in sport. This is a Sport NI Lottery Funded post.

This is a full-time post, but consideration will be given to applicants who would be interested in a part-time position.

Contract: Six months (finishing on 31st March 2021). Due to the short-term nature of the contract we welcome applications from candidates who can start immediately

Base: Mileage can be claimed from Antrim Forum, Antrim

Hours: 37.5 hours per week but flexibility will be required at busy times. Due to the nature of the role there is a requirement to deliver sessions during evenings and weekends. Consideration will be given to those candidates who wish to apply for a part-time position.

Responsible to: Coach & Club Development Officer

Salary: £19,000 pro rata per annum

Closing Date: Friday 11th September at 12noon. Interviews will be held on Tuesday 22nd September at a location to be decided subject to Covid restrictions.
