New Female Athlete Health Talk with Grainne Donnelly

Athletics NI are delighted to announce the next in the series of our Female Athlete Health Talks, which will be on Sunday 19th January 2020 with Advanced Physiotherapist and Co Author of the ‘Return To Running’ Guidelines, Grainne Donnelly.
The talk will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Shaw’s Bridge from 12 noon- 2pm and is open to all athletes, parents and coaches, whether you are male, female; have had pelvic health issues, or not. The aim of the talk is to better educate and inform both athletes and those working with athletes, on the importance of looking after your Pelvic Health.
Grainne is Team lead for pelvic health physiotherapy in both the NHS and the private sector within Northern Ireland as well as being a full member of the Pelvic Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy. She is currently completing a Master’s degree in Advanced Practice and is passionate about improving the quality and consistency of information to guide women back to normal life after having a baby.
Athletics Northern Ireland have been working on the research of Grainne, Tom Goom and Emma Brockwell in their ‘Returning to Running Postnatal Guidelines for Medical, Health and Fitness Professionals Managing this Population’.
