Parallel Success March Sessions End On A High Note

Visiting British Athletics Para Coaches delivered excellent training sessions and talks to para athletes from across Northern Ireland on Sunday 24th March, to mark the last day in the 4 week Parallel Success Programme.

The four week programme involved sessions in sprints, jumps, throws and wheelchair racing as well as talks from Irish Paralympian Michael McKillop, British Athletics Junior World Champions, Eve Walsh-Dann and Jack Agnew as well as British Athlete, James Edgar.

The final day started with a Q&A session with top Athletics NI Para Athlete Eve Walsh-Dann. Eve spoke about her journey through athletics and the challenges she has faced as well as her triumphs at competitions, both in Northern Ireland and Internationally.

Despite the heavy downpours, the eager athletes soon took to the Mary Peter’s Track, where British Athletics Para Coach, Coal Nourrice took a ambulant sprints session with assistance from Athletics NI athletes, Eve Walsh-Dann and James Hamilton.
