Transgender Inclusion Report Welcomed

The Sports Councils Equality Group (SCEG) commissioned a Review into Transgender Inclusion in Domestic Sport in the UK during 2020. A wide-ranging consultation took place with many people in sport and the wider community, both within the UK and internationally. They have now published a carefully considered report and set of guidance in this complex environment.
Athletics Northern Ireland welcomes this report and the guidance issued by the Sports Councils. We will review the published information and continue to work with our colleagues across the UK Athletics community and the Sports sector across Ireland to look at how the outcomes from this work can be applied fairly.
