Trevor Painter Coach to World and European Medallist Jenny Meadows to deliver seminar

Trevor Painter, Coach to World & European Medallist-Jenny Meadows will deliver a seminar discussing his long-term approach to coaching middle distance running and provide reflections on his coaching experience.  Trevor will explain qualities and attributes needed in the 800m and what information you need as a coach to help inform the process in transitioning an athlete from 400m to 800m and possibly to 1500m. Jenny, now 35 has enjoyed fantastic success as an athlete and just this week paced Laura Muir of Scotland to a British 1000m record.

Coach Development Lead Laura Kerr explained “Trevor will also discuss his approach to physical preparation and speed work and how his annual planning evolved as Jenny progressed. We are delighted to welcome him to Northern Ireland and look forward to a busy weekend of coach and athlete development.  This seminar is running in conjunction with the NI and Ulster Endurance Squad which takes places the following day at Greenmount for Junior athletes and their coaches.”
