Athletes all set for Armagh International Road Races

The NI & Ulster team of 8 athletes will compete in the 29th edition of the Armagh International Road Races this evening, Thursday 14th February 2019.

The Men’s team consists of James Edgar (City of Lisburn AC), Neil Johnston (Springwell Running Club), Conor Duffy (Glaslough Harriers) and Chris Madden (City of Lisburn AC). The Brooks Men’s 5k is renowned for being a fast-paced race, with a record 93 men finishing under the 15 minute mark last year.

The Women’s Team will be Fionnuala Ross (Armagh AC), Breege Connolly (City of Derry Spartans), Ciara Toner (Springwell Running Club) and Rachel Gibson (North Down AC), who will be competing in the Intersport Women’s 3k.

The night of racing gets underway with the juvenile races at 6.30pm, before the women’s 3k action at 8.10pm, followed by the men’s 5k at 8.30pm. The open men’s 3k will conclude the 29th edition of the Armagh International Road Races at 8.55pm.
