London Marathon 2023 Overview

Athletes from NI competed at the TCS London Marathon over the weekend, with athletes in the London Mini Marathon, Wheelchair event and the full Marathon distance.
London Mini Marathon
Well done to all the Northern Ireland athletes who ran in the London Mini Marathon last Saturday (22nd April) against some of the best U13, U15 and U17 runners in the UK. There were some outstanding individual and team performances as seen below:

In relation to the Northern Ireland team results the U17 Girls took 2nd place, while the U17 Boys finished in 8th place overall. The U15 Girls and Boys finished in 9th place respectively, and the U13 Girls finished in 12th place, with the U13 Boys finishing in 14th place overall.
Congratulations to all our athletes who ran in the London Mini Marathon. This is a very special achievement and a wonderful opportunity for the athletes.

London Marathon- Wheelchair (T53/T54)
After a spectacular 10th place in the Wheelchair T53/T54 category of the Boston Marathon in a time of 1:37:38, Mark Millar was back for the London Marathon last Sunday (23rd April) in the Wheelchair T53/T54 category where he came 17th in 1:39:45. He will be racing for the third week in a row at the Belfast Marathon this weekend. Best of luck Mark!
