Calling all 4x100m Relay Teams for the Belfast International

Following two successful Speed Relay Workshops this season, Athletics NI are looking for expressions of interest in the Men’s and Women’s 4x100m events at the Belfast International Meet on the 7th May at the Mary Peters Track.

“We are really trying to promote the sprint relays in Northern Ireland this year and this is a fantastic opportunity for club sprinters to put their own team together and race on the big stage,” stated Tom Crick, Director of Coaching and Athlete Development.

Following registration, teams will be selected based on their potential to be able to compete with the International teams already entered for the Belfast International Meet.

“We currently have Irish U20, Scottish Senior, Athletics NI Presidents Select and Ulster Schools U17 Select teams for the Men’s and Women’s races already established”, confirmed Tom Reynolds, Athlete Development Lead. “It is therefore important for athletes get themselves into the fastest teams possible and enter.”

To enter your team of 4 athlete’s, simply visit www.athleticsni.org.  There is no necessity for all athletes to be of the same club and athletes must be at least U17 under the UK rules (4th form at school).
