04 September 2017
There has been much excitement and anticipation in the build-up to the biggest Half Marathon event in Northern Ireland!
On Sunday 17th September close to 3,500 participants will set off on their 13.1 mile journey from Ormeau Park, in a bid to complete the 5th Deep RiverRock Belfast City Half Marathon.
Have you entered yet? Time is running out! Entries will be closing at midnight on Friday 8th September.
This year is particularly exciting as there are entrants from across the world including the USA, Canada, Australia, Italy and Germany, who will enjoy running through the streets of Belfast for the first time! Not to mention the introduction of 330ml bottles of Deep RiverRock at every water station along the route!
Many local businesses are supporting the event also this year. Lynda Shannon, Communications Manager for Translink will be running the 13.1 mile flat and fast route, and is hoping for a Personal Best!
“As the official transport partner of the Deep RiverRock Belfast City Half Marathon, I am delighted to be able to run this year on behalf of Translink. I’m looking forward to the atmosphere on the day to help spur me on!”
