Half way for the Pure Running Half Marathon Series

25 June 2016

We have reached the half way point in the 10 race series and in some sections we have a clear leader and in some we have the most miniscule gaps between the leading contenders which will make for a very interesting second half beginning in Ards this Friday.

Laura Graham dominates the ladies section and has an aggregate time that only 2 men have beaten. Even more astonishing is that she is one of a handful of runners who have managed all 5 races to date in her punishing schedule this year.

In the mens divisions there are 2 tremendous battles with only 5 seconds overall between Charlie McCormick and Eamon O'Reilly in the M45 and only 3 seconds between Colin Walker and Eric Fairfield in the M35.  Marc Jennings has the fastest aggregate time of 3:50:47.

Angus McCready has maintained his record of not having missed any of the races in 8 years having completed his 62nd run at the Lisburn Half Marathon and is joined this year by Anne Moore, Laura Graham, Holly Hunniford, James Wilson, Martin Cox, Alan Brown and Graeme McGowan who have finished all 5 races.  They are aiming for the special garment at the end of the Series if they complete all 10 races.
