18 February 2016

Amy Foster (David Reid) equalled her seasons best of 7.33 to finish 3rd in the women's 60m behind Barbara Pierre of the USA and Oleysa Povh of the Ukraine.

The City of Lisburn athlete's performance leaves her agonisingly 0.01 short of the World Indoor qualifying time. In the same race Megan Marrs (City of Lisburn/Tom Reynolds) finished 8th in a time of 7.64 after equalling her PB of 7.57 in the heats.

Newcastle AC athlete Kerry O'Flaherty (Richard Rogers) had a confidence boosting run in the 1500m finishing 9th in a quality field posting 4.16.30 which is just shy of her personal best set last year. She will now head to the Armagh International Road Race to run in the 3k for the Northern Ireland team.

World Masters Champion Kelly Neely (City of Lisburn/Ian Neely) had an excellent run in the 800m and a close battle with Katie Kirk (Queens/Mark Kirk) with Neely coming through to take 6th place 2.06.86 to 2.07.12.

European U23 Silver Medalist Leon Reid (Birchfield Harriers/James Hillier)  ran 6.81 in heat 3 of the 60m finishing 5th behind world leader D'Angelo Cherry of the USA.
