Competition Rules
All athletes entering this competition have to be members of an affiliated club with Athletics NI or Athletics Ireland
Relay rules. At least 2 members of each relay teams competing in the U10/U11/U12/U13 RELAYS have to be of the correct age with a maximum of two competing athletes moving up an age.
However in the U9 relay all 4 athletes must be born 2018 as athletes born 2019 cannot compete.
Athletes in the U12 and U13 events progress to the National Championships if they finish in the top 4 in their event apart from the 600m where only the top 3 qualify to Nationals.
Athletes competing in the U9/U10/U11 events and finishing in the top 3 will be presented with a medal however they do not qualify to National Championships as an individual. They must have a club partner competing with them on the day and when their combined score then the pairs with the top 3 best scores qualify to Nationals. They act as a team at Nationals.
