The Great Rossa Run

Start Time: 10am

Online Entry

The Great Rossa Run is back! After a hiatus of 2 years we are now ready to make up for the break with one to blow the cobwebs off. As usual we have distances to cater for all types of runners with a Half Marathon, 10k and a 5k run. This year's event will take place on Sunday 3rd July at 10am. We are introducing a cap on registrations for 2022 in order to ensure the health and wellbeing on all participants. Attracting over 800 registrations the last time the event was held we are aiming to replicate the feelgood factor for all who make the journey to the loughshore. In parallel to the timed runs there will be a 5k walk/fun run for families wishing to take part. All routes have been subject to professional measurement and are part of the accredited "Athletics NI Certified Course."

Collection of pre-registered race numbers will be advised closer to the event and will follow all relevant government guidelines.

Main Parking will be available at the parish centre with an overflow at the local football field which is approximately 200 yards from the parish centre. Changing / showering facilities will be available in the local football clubhouse. Free technical training t-shirt for all online entries. Professional finish line on the day and opportunity to obtain finish line photos. Decisions on post race refreshments, Ice baths etc will be dictated by government guidelines and will not be known until closer to the date.

Prize money of over £1,500 for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Male & Female in the Open categories across the 3 runs and 1st prize in the +40, +50 and +60 categories within the Half Marathon and 10K runs. A proportion of each entry fee is being donated to the Lough Neagh Rescue who are an excellent local charity. All runs are professionally chipped with times available throughout the morning. All competitors that complete the race will receive a special event commemorative medal. The half marathon run is ideally placed in the running calendar for those training for the Dublin Marathon.

If you feel up to the loughshore challenge then we hope to see you in Ardboe on Sunday the 3rd July and if you have participated in the event previously we hope you will join us once again to take on the course.
