Review- European Youth Olympics Festival

Last week, 3 NI & Ulster athletes travelled to Maribor representing Ireland in the European Youth Olympics (EYOF).

Over in Maribor, on the Thursday (27^th July) of the competition Veronica O’Neill (City of Derry Spartans) came 4^th in the Girl’s 100mH heat 3 in a time of 14.14. The next day (Friday 28^th July) Oisin McGloin (City of Lisburn AC) was in for the 3000m were he placed 11^th clocking 8:47.55 in hot conditions. On the same day, Amy-Jo Kierans was in the Girl’s medley relay team who came 4^th in heat 2, missing out on qualifying through to the final.
