NI and Ulster Teams Announced for Home Countries XC and Armagh Road Races

Northern Ireland and Ulster athletics have named their men’s and women’s teams for two key fixtures in the February racing calendar: the Home Countries and Celtic International Cross Country Championships and the Armagh Road Races.

Lauren Roy (NI Coach Adam McMullen / City of Lisburn), opened her 2026 season in dramatic style by improving her 60m PB significantly from 7.39 first, to 7.31 in the heats of the Corky Classic in Texas and then to a Northern Irish record of 7.25 in the semifinals, posting the 3^rd fastest time.

Notice of Annual General Meeting

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of Athletics Northern Ireland (2008) will be held on Wednesday, 21^st January 2026 at 7.00pm in Les Jones room, Athletics House, Old Coach Road, Belfast BT9 5PR. The meeting will be in person, however voting by Proxy is permitted (see Note 7).

Northern Irish long-distance runner Hannah Irwin (Cambridge & Coleridge AC) delivered a standout performance in the Telford 10K on Sunday, setting a new personal best and improving her own Northern Ireland 10-kilometre road record with a time of 31 minutes 42 seconds.
