Yesterday, Clonliffe Harriers’ Stephen Scullion qualified for this summer’s Olympics in Tokyo by finishing 5th in the Houston Marathon, in a new personal best time of 2 hours 11 minutes and 52 seconds.

North Belfast Harriers’ Mark McKinstry was crowned the winner of the Men’s event at Sunday’s Mathieson Cup Cross Country, organised by Mallusk Harriers, while Karen Wilton (Jog Lisburn Running Club) secured 1st place in the Ladies event.

The 32 strong team from Northern Ireland & Ulster had a very successful day at the Stirling International Cross Country on Saturday 11th January, which included the British Cross Challenge, Celtic Games and the Home Countries International, by claiming a total of 4 Bronze team medals and 1 individual Silver medal.

The cold, windy and sometimes wet conditions at Saturday's North West Cross Country in Gransha saw Springwell Running Club's Neil Johnston and North Down AC's Rachel Gibson deliver emphatic individual wins in the featured Open 6K race as promoting club City of Derry Spartans were equally emphatic male and female team race winners bagging the Bobby Farren Senior and Brendan Duddy Senior Perpetual Cups respectively.

Event organisers of the Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon are delighted to welcome on board 15 ambassadors to the new “Experiment 26.2” Group. Experiment 26.2 are all training for their first ever marathon in Belfast on Sunday 3rd May 2020.
