Home Nations 5K TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT

The Following athletes have been selected to run for NI and Ulster in the Home Nations 5k which will be held in Bute Park Cardiff on Sunday the 27^th of September.

WEEKEND ROUND UP 28th - 30th August 2026

This weekend saw the last track and field meeting of the summer season with the NI and Ulster Combined Events Championships being held at the Mary Peters Track over the weekend. Over sixty competitors braved the wet conditions, covering all age groups from U13’s to masters.

WEEKEND ROUNDUP 21st - 23rd August

Cold breezy conditions greeted the four hundred athletes who made the trip to the Coleraine Campus 5k hosted by Springwell Running Club.

Selection Policy for the Home Nations 5k Road Championships NI & Ulster Team!

This event will be held on Sunday the 27th of September 2026 in Bute Park, Cardiff.

Senior men’s and Women’s NI & Ulster Teams only. Up to a maximum of 4 Men and 4 women will be considered for the team

EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS 2026 SELECTIONS

Four Northern Irish athletes have secured their selections for the forthcoming European Athletic Championships which will be held in Birmingham from the 10^th of August.

McCann Claims First Senior Outdoor Title as NI Athletes Shine at National Championships

The AAI National Championships proved a successful weekend for local athletes, with medals, personal bests and strong performances recorded across a wide range of track and field events, led by Rachel McCann’s impressive women’s 400m title victory.

WEEKEND ROUND UP 18th & 19th July

The Mary Peters Track in Belfast hosted this year’s SIAB Track and Field Championships which saw the best U18 athletes from Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales compete. Ten Ulster Schools athletes competed for Ireland and came away with five Individual medals.

WORLD U20 CHAMPIONSHIPS 2026

Many congratulations to Ben Sykes (Orangegrove AC) and Joshua Awujoola (Fast Twitch AC) on their selection for the 4x100m relay for the forthcoming World U20 Championships which will be held in Oregon from the 5^th to the 9^th of August.

WEEKEND ROUNDUP 11th12th July 2026

Hot, sunny weather over the weekend provided challenging conditions for our athletes, but despite the heat there were plenty of outstanding performances across the track and field.

WEEKEND ROUND UP - 4th & 5th July

The National U20/23 Championships were held over the weekend in Tullamore and produced another medal haul for our young athletes. It was the field events that brought most successes with three gold’s four silvers and three bronzes.
