Roy Corry MBE- A True Service to Athletics in NI

Congratulations to Roy Corry for being awarded an MBE in the King’s Birthday Honours List in recognition of his dedication to athletics. Roy, a long-time member and current President of Willowfield Harriers, he is also a coach at Dromore AC and has previously served as the Treasurer for Athletics NI and the Belfast City Marathon. Moreover, he has represented Athletics NI on the UK Athletics Member’s Council.
The 81-year-old from Banbridge has been passionate about athletics from a young age and has tirelessly promoted the sport at all levels, from grassroots to elite senior performance. Roy's contributions to Athletics NI’s events over the years, whether it’s marking out cross country courses or coordinating medal presentations, has been invaluable.
The entire athletics community in Northern Ireland congratulations to Roy on this well deserved honour.
