2022 Bobby Rea International Cross Country NI & Ulster Team Selection

The Northern Ireland and Ulster Teams for the Bobby Rea International Cross Country 2022 has been selected.

Many congratulations to the 8 athletes who have been selected to represent Northern Ireland and Ulster in the 2022 Bobby Rea International Cross-Country, which will take place at the Billy Neill MBE Country Park, Dundonald on 22nd October 2022.

The Senior Women’s team consists of Nakita Burke, Robyn McKee and Edel Monaghan who are once again pulling on the NI & Ulster vest in international competition. Natasha Adams will be making her NI & Ulster Cross-Country debut after a solid performance in Bangor at the 10k Championships.

A strong Senior men’s team brings together Eskander Turki, Craig McMeechan and John Craig. All three have shown good early season form with strong performances at the recent NI & Ulster 10k Championships in Bangor. Completing the team will be Gary Crummy, who will making his NI & Ulster debut in Senior competition.

Announcing the team, Athletics NI’s Performance Lead, Tom Reynolds, said: ‘’We are happy to announce talented Senior teams for the Bobby Rea International, in what will be a very competitive event and with the additional factor that it is the trial event for the Home Countries International in Milton Keynes in November.  We are really looking forward to seeing our athletes get the 2022 Cross Country season up and running with strong performances.”
