9 NI & Ulster Athletes Selected for European Cross Country Championships

There will be 9 NI & Ulster athletes heading over to Brussels, Belgium to represent Ireland at the European Cross Country Championships on Sunday 10th December 2023.
Finn Valley AC twins Eilish and Roisin Flanagan are in the Senior Women’s team along with Fionnula Ross (Armagh AC) who had a strong 4th place finish at the Irish National Cross Country Championships over the weekend (Sunday 19th November).
The U23 Men’s team has Callum Morgan (CNDR Track Club) and Matthrew Lavery (North Belfast Harriers) who had spectacular runs at the Irish National Cross Country Championships.
Nick Griggs (CNDR Track Club) who got an U20 silver in last year’s European Cross Country Championships is looking for another successful championships in Brussels. With the U20 team having City of Derry Spartans AC’s Seamus Robinson who placed 4th at the Irish National Cross Country Championships.
After a great battle between Anna Gardiner (East Down AC) and Amy Greene (Finn Valley AC) at the Irish National Cross Country Championships, both athletes are in the U20 team.
