Athletics NI say farewell to Events Manager Catherine Ashford

Catherine has been a member of the Athletics NI team since 2016 as the Admin & Events Assistant, before moving to the Events & Commercial role where she led in the organisation of the Athletics NI events across cross country, road racing and track and field.

She has been instrumental in the development of Athletics NI events, including the Belfast International EAP Meet; World Athletics Northern Ireland International Cross Country; Flahavan’s Primary Schools Cross Country League; TQ10k; NI & Ulster Championships across track and field and cross country; as well as supporting the Coaching Conference; Awards evenings and Youth Academy training camps.

Her strong leadership and work ethic has been the driving force behind the growth of events across Northern Ireland, and while Catherine will be missed at Athletics NI, we wish her the best of luck in her new post and look forward to working with her in the future.
