Athletics NI say farewell to Talent Lead Laura Kerr

Laura has been a member of the Athletics NI team since 2010, and has held various posts including 'Community Coach' to 'Coach Development Lead' and more recently 'Talent Lead & Acting Head of Athletics.' A former NCAA and British International athlete Laura worked with Tom Reynolds to evolve the Athletics NI Youth Academy from 2014 to date.

Laura was a team coach at both the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast and the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. With 2 Silver medals and 4 additional top 8s, Birmingham 2022 was the most successful Commonwealth Games for Athletics NI since the boycotted 1986 Games. 5 of the 12 strong Athletics Team for Birmingham, now in their early 20's, were graduates of the Athletics Northern Ireland Youth Academy.
