Athletics Northern Ireland Running Club Forum

Athletics Northern Ireland invites Adult Participation, Competitive and Recreational Running Clubs to come along to our latest Running Club Forum on Wednesday 27th February in the Les Jones Room at the Mary Peters Track from 6pm until 9pm.

The Running Club Forum aims to bring together club members, runners, leaders, coaches and volunteers to meet, discuss and share ideas on how we can make the running experience even better for Northern Ireland’s running community and how Athletics Northern Ireland can improve support for clubs that are focussed on running participation..

Running Participation Officer, Allister Woods, will lead the session and facilitate discussions on the quality of current coach education, club structures, key challenges faced by clubs, examples of good practice, how the fixtures calendar complements training and any other ideas that the floor would like discussed.

Allister said, “We are continually reviewing how we can improve our offering to clubs and, for this, we need a mechanism for clubs, runners and coaches to share their views and give feedback. Additionally, this provides us an opportunity to make sure clubs know what we do and can offer. We know that face-to-face communication is hugely important to building understanding and relationships with people across the sport and so we are very much looking forward to meeting members of the running community on 27th February”

To reserve your place on this Forum please click here ,for general queries and more information or to add any other topics you would like discussed, please contact Allister Woods allister@athleticsni.org / 028 90 602707.  There will be refreshments provided on the night.
