City of Lisburn Siblings Perform at the Icelandic Championships

City of Lisburn brother and sister, Arnar Brynjarsson and Brynja Brynjarsdottir returned to Iceland after having represented their country in the U20 Nordic Games.
Arnar Brynjarsson and Brynja Brynjarsdottir competed over 3 days in the Icelandic Senior Championships in Reykjavik, representing their Icelandic club Sveit IR. They came away with 3 Relay Golds, 2 Silvers (Arnar 100m & 200m) and one pb (Brynja long jump 5.69m +1.3m/s). Arnar broke the 11 second barrier for 100m twice, however a +2.1m/s wind reading ruled these out for record purposes.
Both athletes contributed greatly to their club’s 4x400m relay performances, with splits of 49.40 (Arnar) and 58.40 (Brynja).
