Commonwealth athlete Adam McMullen is top of the class

Following the success of the Flahavan’s Porridge Athletics Northern Ireland Junior Cross-Country League, the highest performing primary school was rewarded with a bespoke training session, led by Commonwealth Long Jumper, Adam McMullen.
Loughview Integrated Primary School, were top of the class, having claimed best overall boys’ team, and second place overall for the girls’ team, at the league final which took place in February.
The format of the session included a dynamic warm up, followed by a sprint session and Q&A with Adam.
“I was delighted to partner with Flahavan’s Porridge to deliver a training session to such ambitious young athletes”, said Adam.
“The league is a great way to get kids active and involved in sport and I really enjoyed giving them an insight into how I prepare for training - it’s so important to start the day with a nutritious breakfast - and I love porridge due to its slow releasing energy for my long sessions.”
