European Athletics Promotion Events

We are delighted to announce that, as the Belfast International Track and Field Meeting is a member of the European Athletics Promotion (EAP) circuit, we are able to nominate five athletes per meet of the standard required to compete at other competitions on the EAP circuit.
With our aim of producing world class athletes who will represent Northern Ireland in the Commonwealth Games, Athletics NI intend to support competitive athletes to bridge the gap from domestic or age-group (U20/U23) performances to qualifying for senior international competition.
Athletes that are successful in being nominated to an EAP competition will typically, but not necessarily, receive:
- Two nights’ accommodation
- Meals
- Airport transfers
- Financial contribution towards an air fare

JUNE
01 June, Saturday: Leiria, "International Youth Meeting"- Athletics NI will not nominate athletes for this competition as it falls on the same weekend as the Irish Schools.
01 June, Saturday : Valence, "Meeting international de Valence" *U23 athletes will be selected to represent NI & Ulster at this event08 June, Saturday: Budapest, "Budapest Open 2019 - Agoston Schulek Memorial" – Athletics NI will not nominate athletes for this competition. Athletes are expected to compete at the Northern Ireland & UIster Senior Championships on this date
15 June, Saturday: Genève, "32nd AtletiCAGenève - Memorial Georges Caillat"22 June, Saturday : Nivelles, "33e Meeting international Lotto de Nivelles"
