Hannah Irwin Sets New NI 10,000m Record

Hannah Irwin set a new Northern Irish 10,000m record at the Night of 10k PBs in Highgate at the weekend, with a new PB time of 32:25.34.
The Cambridge & Coleridge AC athlete beat the previous 10,000m record, set by Clonliffe Harrier’s Emma Mitchell at the 2018 Commonwealth Games with a time of 32:49.91; and also gained the Commonwealth Games Consideration Standard.
Belfast Irish Milers
City of Lisburn AC & Team New Balance athlete, Ciara Mageean gained the Commonwealth Consideration standard in the 800m for the second time, in a fantastic opener to her outdoor season, at the Belfast Irish Milers Meet on Saturday 14th May.
The Portaferry athlete finished in 2nd place in 1:59.86, just behind Leevale Ac’s Louise Shanahan, who set a new Irish record time of 1:59.42.
