Introducing the World Athletics Global Challenge

Athletics NI encourage our members to get involved in the World Athletics Cross Country Championships Bathurst 2021 Global Challenge.
For the first time in history, World Athletics are bringing runners and walkers together to share in this unique experience, and be part of one of the planet’s largest athletic events. Distances range from 1k to 10k and participants can run or walk at any time until 30th April 2021.
This unique and fun filled event is designed for people of all ages and abilities, with events for those aged 7 and up meaning there is something for everyone. Participants will be ranked in their age group across their country, continent and globally with the opportunity to represent their country in the ‘final series’.
But it’s not just about the rankings, it’s about the joy of running cross country, amazing World Athletics Cross Country Championships Bathurst 21 Global Challenge bling and participating – no matter how fit or fast! You can also help fundraise for World Vision, a humanitarian aid, development and advocacy organisation.
For $10 participants get access to a once in a lifetime opportunity to race people from around the globe, get a ranking in their age based on their nation, continent and in the globe, along with the chance to represent their country in the global finals.
Participants will also get a personal race bib, virtual medal, certificate, and access to a range of merchandise and prizes including the chance to win a fully paid trip to Bathurst Australia.

- Register as a participant and run your event anywhere at any time until 30th of April 2021.
- Select the option to fundraise or provide a donation to World Vision.
- Use a GPS device like RunKeeper to track your race.
- Record and submit your virtual result.
