Jade Williams lands Bronze at the European Youth Olympic Festival

Hammer thrower Jade Williams (Shercock AC / Neil Williams) followed on from an excellent weekend for local athletes with a stunning performance and bronze medal at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Hungary (Tuesday 25^th July 2017).

The Irish Schools Champion landed a throw of 58.62m to secure 3^rd place in the (3kg) Under 17 event.

Northern Ireland’s Alex Boyd (Lagan Valley AC / Jim McKeown) is also competing at the prestigious festival, which has been the breeding ground for several superstars.  Alex will race in the 1500m final later today (Wednesday 26^th July 2017).
