Javelin Group Training Announced at Ulster University Jordanstown

A new Javelin Event Group training programme has been announced for early 2026, offering athletes the opportunity to develop their technique under expert coaching at Ulster University Jordanstown.
The programme will consist of three structured training sessions, each lasting two hours, and will be coached by experienced throws coach Paddy McGrattan. Designed for committed athletes aiming to progress their performance, the group will focus on technical development, consistency, and competition preparation.
Athletes must meet the following performance standards to apply:

Boys/Men: 40 metres

Girls/Women: 30 metres
Those who are within two metres of the required standard are strongly encouraged to apply, as places will be allocated based on suitability and demand. A waiting list will be in operation due to limited capacity.
The sessions will take place on the following dates in 2026:

The cost of the programme is £25 per athlete, with a maximum of eight athletes accepted to ensure a high-quality coaching environment.
