NI & Ulster Trio Selected for Ireland Team at European 10K Cup

Athletics Ireland has announced its team for the prestigious event, which takes place on May 23, with three athletes from NI & Ulster earning selection.

Emily Haggard Kearney of North Belfast Harriers, Callum Morgan of CNDR TC, and Oisin O’Gailin of Finn Valley AC will all compete for Ireland at the championships.

The selection marks a particularly special occasion for Morgan, who will make his senior international debut for Ireland.

All three athletes have shown strong performances on the road and track in recent months, earning their places on the national team for one of Europe’s leading distance running competitions.

The European 10K Cup brings together many of the continent’s top endurance athletes and provides an important opportunity for international competition at elite level.

The NI and Ulster athletics community will no doubt be following closely as the trio take to the start line in Italy later this month.
