Strong Northern Ireland Squad Announced for 2026 Anglo Celtic Plate in Limerick

We are delighted to announce the Northern Ireland national team selected to compete at this year’s Anglo Celtic Plate 100k International.
The 2026 edition of the prestigious ultra-distance event will be held on Saturday, 21st March, within the grounds of the University of Limerick.
This year’s squad features a powerful mix of seasoned internationals and in-form ultra runners. The men’s team is headlined by Jarlath McKenna, a previous British 100k Champion who recently secured a stunning top-10 finish at the World Championships in India. He is joined by Tim Brownlie current Irish 6hour record holder, Fabian Devlin, Dave Andrews, and Nick Weston, forming a team with serious depth and experience. Alan Ritchie has been named as the reserve and Mark Walker as second reserve.
In the women’s race, Northern Ireland will be represented by a stellar line-up including Karla Borland, current NI record holder, who has previously podiumed at this event, and reigning National 100k Champion Karen Wilton. They will be joined by Lou McLaughlin, Laura Grimes, and Susan McCartney.
