The Selection Policy for GB & NI Team at the World University Games is Now Available

Athletics Northern Ireland recognise the importance of providing appropriate competition opportunities across all age groups and are delighted to announce that, through close collaboration with British Athletics, England Athletics, Scottish Athletics and Welsh Athletics, eligible Under 25 athletes will have the opportunity to be nominated to British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) for the World University Games to be held in Napoli between 3^rd – 14^th July 2019.

British Athletics will be sending a team to the 2019 European U23 Championships, which will be considered the priority competition for U23 athletes and the home nations of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales in cooperation with British Athletics are to be responsible for selecting and facilitating the team for the World University Games.

Athletics Ireland are to be responsible for nominating eligible athletes, to represent Ireland, to Student Sport Ireland and the selection policy is due to be released shortly.
