A collection of Athletics NI’s Commonwealth Potential athletes competed at the Loughborough May Open Meet on Wednesday 12th May, resulting in a host of top performances
Ellie McCartney (City of Lisburn AC/ Kate Rooney) set an PB in the Women’s Pole Vault event clearing 4.05m, hitting the European U23 Championship standard.
City of Lisburn AC’s Megan Marrs (Coach: Alex Nwenwu) finished the 100m Hurdles in a season’s best time of 13.58 (w/s 0.2), having finished the earlier race in 13.68 (w/s -0.7).
In the Men’s Long Jump, Crusaders AC’s Adam McMullen set a new season’s best of 7.55m, while City of Lisburn AC’s Ben Fisher set a season’s best of 7.30m.

At the Birmingham Uni Gold Standard BMC on Wednesday 12th May Annadale Striders’ Callum Crawford-Walker set a season’s best and his second fastest time to date of 1:50.71 in the Men’s 800m A.
