Weekend Review Silver for McKillop at European Para Championships

Michael McKillop won silver on Saturday 5th June at the European Para Athletics Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland in the Men’s 1500m T37/T38.
McKillop was the first T37 across the line in the 1500m T37/T38 competition, which was won by Redouane Hennouni-Bouzidi from France in a European Record time of 4:04.39. McKillop (St Malachy’s AC) finished in a Championship Record time of 4:09.85, while David Leavy (City of Lisburn AC) finished in 6th place in a time of 4:26.01.
Annadale Striders 3k Challenge Races
On Friday 4th June, athletes enjoyed the sun and comradery at the Annadale Striders 3k Challenge Races, which included a number of 3000m and 200m meets for local athletes, plus a high jump event. Thank you to all the organisers, officials, volunteers and of course the athletes who made this such a successful event.
