World Championships Weekend Preview

Almost a week since Conor Kelly helped the Irish Mixed Relay team to 11th place in the World Championships, up to three NI athletes will be taking to the Japan National Stadium across Friday and Saturday as the Heptathlon and Women’s 4x400m Relays begin.
European and World indoor medallist and World Student Games champion Kate O’Connor (Dundalk St Gerards) will be hoping to finish off her superb year with another Northern Irish and Irish record when starting with 100m Hurdles at 9.33am NI time.
Rachel McCann (North Down) and Jenna Breen (COLAC) will be in Saturday’s squad of six for the women’s 4x400m heats with four athletes to run.
