NI & Ulster Athletes Invited to Express Interest for 2026 Inter Counties XC

The event is open to senior athletes aged 20 and over, with up to seven men and seven women selected. There will be no U20 team due to a clash with the Irish Schools Cross Country Championships.

Athletes must submit an Expression of Interest to mark.kirk@athleticsni.org by midnight on 8 February 2026, which is a mandatory condition of selection. A long list of athletes will be submitted to organisers on 9 February.

Automatic selection will be awarded to the top three finishers at the NI & Ulster Cross Country Championships at Templemore Sports Complex on 7 February 2026, with remaining places filled at the discretion of the selection panel. Final teams will be announced on the Athletics NI website.
