Officiating is a gift of time, and we don't take that lightly. Alongside your kit and your licence, here's how Athletics NI recognises officials as they progress and put in the hours, season after season.
Mileage and course costs, covered
Every official can claim mileage from their home address to meets and events (Athletics NI events only). Mandatory learning — your Safeguarding and Health & Safety online modules — is reimbursed too. Giving your time shouldn't cost you money out of your own pocket.

Recognised for the long run
For officials who've given years of continuous service, lifetime achievement awards are presented through UK Athletics — recognition that reaches beyond Northern Ireland to the whole sport you've helped keep running.
Keep an eye out throughout the season
Where funding allows, additional kit and equipment may become available throughout the year on an ad hoc basis — so it's always worth keeping an eye on Athletics NI's officials communications.
